WELCOME TO OUR "ACCIDENTAL" BUSINESS

When someone in our family was diagnosed with Celiac Disease, we rolled up our sleeves and got to work—transforming beloved family recipes into gluten-free versions we could all enjoy around the table. What started as a labor of love quickly grew into something bigger. Word spread, and just like that—our little kitchen became a business. As more folks found us, our menu grew too, one flavor and one memory at a time. We especially light up when someone says, “You know what I really miss?” That’s our cue. We love recreating those nostalgic bites and rising to the challenge.

Our Grandma’s love language was baking, and we were lucky enough to witness it firsthand. She’d rise at 4AM, apron tied and coffee brewing, to make cinnamon rolls and donuts for the early birds at her coffee shop. Later, her baked goods became legendary among the campers at YMCA Camp Fitch—sweet memories tucked into every bite. We’ve held onto her recipes like heirlooms, adapting them through trial, error, and a whole lot of love. Today, we bake from scratch using only the best ingredients, crafting gluten-free treats that taste anything but. No shortcuts. No compromises. Just the kind of goodness Grandma would have insisted on. We think "Big Mary" would be proud—and probably telling us to add more frosting.

What is The Cranky Cookie Company? After a year of people asking for “normal” cookies (seriously, not gluten-free?!), we finally threw up our hands and said, FINE. You win. To keep the chaos contained, we launched The Cranky Cookie Company—because if we’re gonna cave, we’re gonna own it. And before anyone starts clutching their pearls: yes, our gluten-free kitchen is still totally separate and safe. Cross-contamination? Please. Not on our watch. We’ve got you.
